A BIT ABOUT ME

I believe that therapy can help heal people by creating safe a safe and warm environment.

Together, we will explore any pain or challenges that you may be experiencing. All in hopes of rebuilding the bridges and pathways to healthier coping  and overall improved life management.

Change is possible.

My journey with therapy has been lifelong. I started attending therapy during the tender years of my youth. Throughout my time in the therapy room as a client, I was able to discover and rediscover not only myself, but also many internalized and transgenerational patterns I carried. As I grew and continued to engage in introspection I began to feel profoundly more whole. I believe that therapy can unlock forgotten memories and traumas, and has the ability to heal wounded parts of one's heart with appropriate therapeutic guidance. I apply all of my previous life experiences to my therapeutic approach, I use warmth and kindness towards my clients. I will sit in the pain with you, I’ll become a witness to your pain, and through validation and understanding growth emerges and healing naturally happens. It’s a slow, but beautiful process which can be very fulfilling. Maintaining empathy and a non-judgemental view on my clients circumstances and/or decisions is imperative to my style as a therapist. My cultural exposure helps me conceptualize individuals through a global and multicultural lens, not placing anyone in one particular box. I subscribe to this healing modality as being an effective and efficient tool in one’s journey towards self-healing and self-discovery.

Outside of therapy-land I tend to lead a colorful life filled with storytelling, robust laughter, and adventures. I have a passion for cooking, being in nature, and international traveling.  I love spending time at home with my husband and our 4 year old hound-mix cozied up by the fireplace. I enjoy staying in touch with global affairs and listening to podcasts. I am a social justice advocate and lover of all people. I have a fondness for interior design, gardening, and Netflix . All in all, therapists are humans too: some days are better than others, and I truly believe that practicing gratitude has helped me appreciate life so much more.

I assist clients who are experiencing a range of presenting concerns including: Those who experience relationship issues, trauma, women’s issues, grief/loss, major life transitions, couples and family issues, depression and/or suicidal ideation, anxiety and/or panic attacks, gender related dyanmics or questions, lack of emotional or sexual fulfillment, a longing for purpose or direction, and loneliness and more. As a woman of color born to immigrant parents, I work with people of all backgrounds, and am pleased to welcome anyone who identifies as being part of any racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual minority groups.
